Mallory Kuiper, DDS
Dr. Kuiper was born and raised in Indiana. She grew up in a very small town on her parents’ grain farm. Growing up she participated in sports such as volleyball and basketball, however, she spent most of her time in the barn with her livestock. She started in 4-H at 10 years old showing pigs and later took an interest in cattle. She and her family showed Shorthorn heifers competitively at cattle shows across the country, including Fort Worth, Louisville and Denver until she began dental school. She decided on a career in dentistry while in high school after spending time in an office near her hometown. Her time at this office is where she saw the real difference that can be made in someone’s life by improving their smile.
Dr. Kuiper attended Purdue University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She immediately began at Indiana University School of Dentistry and was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She was recently married on the 4th of July and now lives in Sneads Ferry with her husband, an officer in the Marine Corps. Jacob Long, DDS
Dr. Long was born and raised in a small town in southern West Virginia. He is the youngest of four boys and has always looked up to his three older brothers, who have helped him tremendously throughout his life. Growing up he spent most of his time outdoors or playing sports. Dr. Long is quite a bit younger than his brothers, so he became an uncle at a young age. To this day, he has always enjoyed hanging out with his large family, especially his twelve nieces and nephews. Dr. Long always knew he wanted to be in the medical field, but decided to pursue a career in dentistry during his first year of college, after spending time at his brother’s dental office.
Dr. Long met the love of his life, his wife Brittany, when he was seventeen years old. They dated all throughout high school and their first two years of college until they were married in 2010. Dr. Long attended Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and then transferred to Marshall University to finish his undergraduate degree. Dr. Long graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. The next fall, he attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2016. After dental school, he and his family moved to Wilmington to pursue his career in dentistry and to be closer to the beach.
Now a days in his spare time, Dr. Long’s greatest pleasure is spending time with his wife and playing with their two young sons Brody and Grayson. Dr. Long and his wife also love to travel, but they rarely find the time. Their family now reside in Porter’s Neck and really love the area. They spend most of their free time going to the beach or trying new restaurants around town. Brody will be three in October, and enjoys superheroes, toy weapons, and anything outside, but especially riding his toy Jeep. Grayson will be turning one in September and loves his new found walking ability, Brody’s toys, and his Mommy! Brittany has a degree in Elementary Education with her Master’s in Reading, but her full-time job at the moment is being an excellent mother and wife. Also, the Long family are avid WVU Mountaineer fans, so you just might see some Blue and Gold around the office come game days!
